Admire Huck

If I were trapped in a cabin in the woods with my alcoholic and abusive father, I would be pretty scared and uneasy. I wouldn't know weather to run the first chance I get,with the risk of him catching me and doing who knows what, or trying my best to keep my calm and do whatever he says. Huck on the other hand, acted like it didn't even phase him. He even kept his calm when his father got very drunk and went after him with a knife! Huck is one smart kid, he began to plan his escape/death. He got everything set up for him to have a successful "death" and be free from his father.
I don't know if I would be able to do what Huck does. I love being around people and interacting with people everyday, but I also have those days where I just want to be alone. Where I am now I have a choice or the ability to do either. Huck is alone a majority of his life...he has very little interactions with people. I admire Huck and his ability to be such a free willed person.
