A Magical Hairball???

In the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn there is a slave. His name is Jim and he belongs to Miss Watson. Jim is very superstitious and he believes in a lot of things that aren't true. At first Jim seems dumb because hes so superstitious that hes kind of to the point where people reading this story thinks hes crazy. One night in the novel Jim '"claims" to have a magical hairball from an ox's stomach. First off there's no such thing as a "magical hairball", because its just a normal hairball. Anyways Huck who is the protagonist in the novel tells Jim he has found his dads footprints in the snow and Huck wants to know what his father wants. Jim said the hairball needs money to work and that's because Jim wants money.  So Huck being a sly boy that he is gives Jim a counterfeit quarter he has. The hairball tells Jim that Huck's father has two angels. One angel is Black and one Angel is white. So that means one is good and ones bad. So in my opinion Jim is just telling Huck nonsense ,but that's what you get when the listen to hairball. Jim is telling a story that could happen to anyone. Later in the story Jim says Huck's going to marry a poor and then a rich women. Like I said before that could happen to anyone. In this story there is wonderful literature and Jim shows it a lot and he is quite the character in this novel.

To add an interesting perspective, the hairball, derived from the fourth stomach of an ox, could very well be magical in a peculiar way. I feel like that hairball has the ability to procure the very deepest of thoughts from the human mind, and Jim is being forced, by the hairball, to relate his deepest of thoughts. It is my belief that this, and only this, can be the explanation of the stupidity of the entirety of Jim's words. So, with that in mind, is the hairball magical after all?

I agree that the magic hairball thing is nonsense. For me it's ok to believe in the supernatural, just try not to force it on others. I also agree that the predictions he made could happen to anyone.
